Stacey Baker

Born in California, raised in Florida, it’s safe to say Stacey was born into the Salt Life, and lives it to this day. Stacey grew up learning the traditional Filipino ways of preparing fish from her mother; whose favorite meals have always been from the sea. Stacey attributes her ocean obsession to her upbringing, but says it shifted into overdrive when she met her husband – fittingly, on the beach. Being the waterman he is, their first dates started with him teaching her to surf and spearfish, rocketing her ocean addiction to the next dimension. Stacey currently holds the women's IUSA world record for gag grouper at 13.5lbs.

When did you first get involved with Salt Life?
I've always cherished our family trips to the beach and fun times on our jet skis. For the most part, my ocean obsession started there and shifted into overdrive when I met my husband (fittingly on the beach). Being the waterman he is; our first dates started with him teaching me to surf and spearfish rocketing my ocean addiction to the next dimension.

What is one "living the Salt Life" memory?
I currently hold the women's USA world record for gag grouper at 13.5 lbs broken on a photo trip for Spearing Magazine! I can't think of a better team to be a part of with a company encompassing a true enthusiasm for everything and any ocean lover! I've been extremely fortunate to travel the world exploring my passions and can't wait to see what the next adventure brings.
