Martino Motorsports

Tom and Ryan Martino are World Champion national drag racing standouts in the NHRA and PDRA Drag Racing Series. The Martinos are Salt Life’s North Coast representatives out of Youngstown, Ohio and frequent stops throughout the East Coast and Gulf of Mexico to enjoy the Salt Life experience when possible. The Martinos love everything salty and can be found living each day to the fullest whether it’s piloting their 215+ MPH Salt Life Top Dragster to the winner’s circle, ripping lips on salt and fresh water, or traveling across the highways and byways of America for business or pleasure.

When did you first get involved with Salt Life?
Our first introduction to the Salt Life brand was a Salt Life decal and apparel purchase on a family vacation in 2014. We loved the shirt designs, fit, and comfort so much that we quickly jumped on SaltLife.com when we got home from the airport to purchase more for the entire family!

What is your favorite hobby when you’re not living the Salt Life?
When are we not living the Salt Life! Even though we are headquartered in Ohio, there isn’t a day that goes by where the Salt Life isn’t on our mind. In addition to racing, we love fishing, music, giving back to our community, spending time with our fans, and working out.

How would you spend you dream day?
Our dream day would have to be spending our post-race travel day at the beach before we head back home to start our work week and race vehicle maintenance. It would start off with fishing at sunrise, include time relaxing on the beach with our family, fans, and friends, and enjoying a freshly prepared meal from our catches of the day! The perfect way to re-energize after a three-day long race event.

What is your craziest/funniest Salty adventure?
Pier fishing in Clearwater, Florida and having pelicans begging for our bait like a pack of dogs surrounding the dinner table. They just kept flying in by the boatload swarming us. We couldn’t believe how focused they were on what we were doing and how relentless they were for a bite of our bait. The next day we went fishing on a boat with a Salt Life teammate and the pelicans were back for more, diving at each cast we made. Although making a peace offering was discussed, we still followed the #1 rule, “don’t feed the wildlife”.
