Kasey Leonhardt
Kasey is a self-proclaimed ocean fanatic and energizer bunny, which allows her to spend hours in the ocean every single day. Surfing is her core sport and passion, but when the waves aren’t providing you can find her shell diving, fishing, body surfing, or finding other ways to get salty! The options are endless.
When did you first get involved with Salt Life?
Growing up on the coast of Florida, Kasey has always been a Salt Life enthusiast. She officially joined Team Salt Life in 2021.
What is your favorite hobby when you’re not living the Salt Life?
When I am not living the Salt Life, I am lucky enough to be employed at a horse barn. We lead guests on trail rides through our stunning mountain property which overlooks Waimea Bay. I grew up with horses and barrel raced during my time on the mainland. Horses continue to be a passion of mine, so to be able to fulfill that interest with the ocean still in sight has been a dream.
Is there something on your bucket list that you’d like to accomplish?
People tell me I am crazy all the time for this, but it is a dream of mine to surf Alaska in the winter under the northern lights. I get chicken skin just thinking about it!.
How would you spend you dream day?
My dream day would be spent paddling out at Pupukea for first light, then coming in for breakfast and to feed the horses. After that I’d head to Foodland to stock up on plenty of poke and snacks for the day. I’d then post up on the beach, surfing and hanging out with friends until the sun goes down.
