Jason Motes

Jason has been surfing since he was three years old, and started competing at age six. He has won 29 East Coast Championships, two United States Championships and has two Professional wins. Most recently, Jason was Named 2020 Coach of the Year by the National Scholastic Surfing Association of America.

When did you first get involved with Salt Life?
I've been with Salt Life since its birth in the early 2000s.

What is your favorite tropical destination?
Hawaii on the North Shore. The weather is beautiful and the waves are absolutely pumping! It doesn’t get any better than that.

What is your favorite category in the Salt Life line?
I absolutely love the boardshorts and surf shirts! They are super light, stretchy, and don’t cause chafing.

What are you most passionate about?
I'm most passionate about coaching. I love helping kids learn to not only be great surfers, but great watermen and women. I love giving them something positive and healthy they can do for the rest of their lives.
