Gabriella Gerbasi

Originally from Montreal and now living in Florida, Gabriella is the definition of a water-woman. She is extremely passionate about ocean conservation and sustainability. Gabriella travels the world exploring tropical locations while capturing life in shades of blue and living in the most sustainable way possible. The ocean is her home – it’s where she feels most alive and founded her interest in freediving, spearfishing, and scuba diving. Gabriella started diving with her dad when she was just 12 years old and hasn’t been able to get the ocean out of her head or heart ever since. In 2021 she published her first photography book and launched it on World Oceans Day. The goal of her book is to bring awareness to ocean conservation and empower action through art by donating the profits to oceanic conservation organizations.

When did you first get involved with Salt Life?
I started wearing Salt Life apparel when I first got into spearfishing and needed apparel to protect me from the sun while on my dive adventures. I officially joined the Salt Life team in February 2022.

What is your favorite hobby when you’re not living the Salt Life?
I’ve always dreamt of being a storyteller of the sea. By using the power of photography I can nurture a meaningful connection with nature where I feel like I can educate people to support and protect our oceans. The more we understand the ocean, the more we appreciate and want to protect it.
