Team Salt Life
The water is as much a part of Drake White’s life as the land. He’s a trout chasin’, river-rat beach bum that finds a profound connection with the waterways of the world. From the salty red-fish waters of the Gulf of Mexico, to Alaska’s salmon runnin’ rivers, to the story book sounds of New Zealand’s Polaroid pleasing coast, he has stood among the creatures that share the depths.
The fresh-water of the Coosa River that snake-ishly winds its way through North Alabama is where the rootsy singer learned his infinite respect for water. With an aluminum V-bottom Jon boat powered by a 25hp Chrysler, Drake was given the freedom to roam at the age of 12.
He chased catfish, greenheads, whitetail, and bass in this time and became the woods and waterman he is today. His music spills out of him like a shot of tequila and exudes the lifestyle that is the water. When he's not on tour he makes his way to the water to Live the Salt Life!
