Team Salt Life
A South Florida native, I grew up in the wonderful town of Jupiter, FL. After school and summer breaks consisted of wakeboarding, jet skis, fishing, diving, and pretty much anything water-related. Spoiled with blue water, beautiful beaches, and only a short boat ride to West End, Bahamas; it’s no wonder I immediately moved back home after graduating from Florida State University.
Post-college in 2013, I really started to get into scuba and free-diving. Both forms of diving are amazing ways to enjoy the world below the surface, but the choice between the two is very dependent on your goal for the day. I choose to free-dive when spearfishing, because I feel it evens the playing field. I really enjoy this sustainable way of fishing, and believe in killing what you eat, not for sport. Scuba diving on the other hand, lets you experience and take in all that this underwater world has to offer. From the most minute details lying in the coral reef to swimming around a huge sunken ship, inspiration for my art is found everywhere.
I currently manage Flying Fish Paddle Sports board shop located in Port Salerno, FL, where I’ve been displaying my art. I am also lucky enough to have the flexibility there to travel. Among the various dive spots I’ve enjoyed, Roatan in the Bay Islands of Honduras has to be my favorite. This is Salt Life’s go-to destination for upcoming season’s photo shoots. There they’ve partnered up with the Roatan Marine Park, in efforts to conserve the world’s second largest barrier reef. I am grateful to be a part of a company who not only promotes the Salt Life, but protects it.
